
Apalachee High School Receives Prior Threat Before Shooting
According to CNN, Apalachee High School in Georgia received a phone threat earlier today, warning of shootings at five schools, with Apalachee as the first target. Law enforcement officials are currently investigating the call’s origin and the individual responsible.

Erin Clark's Terrifying Morning
Erin Clark was working when she received a series of text messages from her son, a senior at Apalachee High School. The messages were filled with fear as he described hearing gunshots and barricading himself in his classroom.
Clark and other parents were initially prevented from driving directly to the school, so they parked nearby and walked. Once there, they were directed to the football field to reunite with their children.
Overwhelmed with terror and fear, Clark prayed for her son’s safety. She was in complete disbelief that such a horrific event was unfolding at her child’s school.

Erin Clark was at work Wednesday morning when she got a series of text messages from her son who was attending class at Apalachee High School.

lark told CNN her son, who is a senior at the school, heard eight or nine gunshots before he closed his classroom door. He and another classmate moved chairs and tables to block the door. The mother said she and other parents were not allowed to drive on the road to the high school, so they parked down another street and walked.
“Once we got to the school, they directed us to go to the football field and meet our kids,” Clark told CNN. She later found Ethan safe by the bleachers.
She told CNN she was “absolutely terrified” when she read her son’s messages and that she “kept praying he’d stay safe.” Clark said she was “in complete shock that this was actually happening.”

President Joe Biden is “mourning the deaths” of those who were killed in Wednesday’s school shooting at Apalachee High School and said that “we cannot continue to accept this as normal.”
“What should have been a joyous back-to-school season in Winder, Georgia, has now turned into another horrific reminder of how gun violence continues to tear our communities apart. Students across the country are learning how to duck and cover instead of how to read and write. We cannot continue to accept this as normal,” the president said in a statement. President Joe Biden is very sad about the people who died in the school shooting at Apalachee High School. He said that we can’t let these shootings keep happening.
The president said that students should be learning how to read and write, not how to hide from danger. He wants to stop gun violence from hurting our communities.
